What you need to know about the Traveling Studio Program
  • Our programs are offered to Waynesboro and Augusta County elementary schools in the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia.
  • The Traveling Studio Program offers nine different programs that teach elementary school children about history, geography, and science through the use of art in their very own classrooms. Our programs have proven to be very effective in aiding classroom teachers and students in their SOL studies.
  • All programs have been designed to provide a rewarding, creative addition to your existing classroom curriculum and support the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs).
  • These programs will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Please review our programs and consider registering today. We look forward to hearing from you.
  • Teachers with elementary students attending schools in Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County, Va. may register now for our programs that are presented directly in your school, which means no traveling fees for you or your students!
  • Our instructors will arrive at your school with everything needed to provide a fun filled hour and one half…all you have to do is provide a space, the students and three parent volunteers.
  • Your students will spend one half hour with our instructor examining the arts and culture of the program of your choice. Then they will create their own artwork at three stations to create their own masterpieces! There has never been a better time to participate in these hands on, interactive programs that are designed to compliment your curriculum in Art, History, Geography, Science and Language Arts.
Highlights
  • Good news! We applied for and received a generous grant from the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge again this year. They will pay $1.00 of the student cost for every student you register in Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro (up to 4,500) students! That means we will deduct $1.00 per student when we invoice your school for the program(s) you wish to participate in.
  • In 2016-17 we enrolled 3,812 students in our Traveling Studio Programs!
Key Information
  • The price is $6.00 per student (you will actually pay $5.00) this year for all programs. This fee includes all materials and instruction…and WE bring it all to YOU!
  • The Network will still subsidize an additional $5.00 of the cost for these programs per student through our fundraising efforts because we are dedicated to bringing you quality programs at an affordable price.
  • We will have to limit the number of students that we may enroll again this year to 4,500 students, so I encourage you to enroll early With our economy as it is, there has never been a better time to take advantage of these quality programs that are presented right in your own school. No traveling costs for your classrooms.
